Spring Garden Fete – Monday 7th May 2018, 10:30 – 16:00
Beautiful Dartmoor will provide the stunning backdrop for a Spring Garden Fete being held in the beautiful setting of the Moorland Garden Hotel on Roborough Down this May.
This wonderful fete brought to you by Miss Ivy Events will provide a fabulous day out for all the family on the early May Bank Holiday – whatever the weather! More than 40 exhibitors will be setting up stall in the hotel’s Crystal Room and outside in the gardens, bringing you an exciting range of vintage and artisan products – everything from handmade jewellery and soaps to home and gardenware, woodwork and the most beautiful and unique gifts.
If you are feeling creative yourself, why not try your hand at one of the workshops being run during the day by Orchard Studios, enabling you to take home your own handcrafted piece of artwork.
During the day there will be musical entertainment and a touch of glamour in the form of jazz from the hugely talented Becky Brine – a singer whose voice has been described as ‘awesome’ by Ben Lovett of Mumford & Sons, and ‘absolutely fantastic’ by the multi-talented Richard Stilgoe.
There will also be entertainment provided for the children and man’s best friend is also catered for – bring along your dog and you might be lucky enough to go home with a rosette if you enter him or her in the charity fun dog show.
With so much to see and do it will be easy to work up an appetite – why not enjoy a light lunch or a delicious cream tea while you are there?
Entry to the Spring Garden Fete is just £2 with under fives entering for free. Dogs are very welcome but must be kept on a lead at all times.
