We at Miss Ivy Events LTD respect the right of privacy of every individual who visits our site, mobile site, social media platforms and ticketing service. Below is information on how we use any personal information we collect about you.
What personal information we collect and how we use it
If you are a visitor we generally collect the bare minimum information from you (your name and your email address) but in some rare instances we may ask for more information such as your postal address and contact telephone number. If we do ask for this information it will clearly state why we need the extra information (maybe you’ve entered a competition and we need to post you a prize if you win, for example).
If you exhibit with us we collect your name, business name and details, postal address, contact telephone number, website/social media addresses, public liability certificate and food hygiene certificate. We collect all of this information so we can contact you accurately if there is a change or cancellation on an event, or we need to further discuss your needs at an event and hold evidence that you are insured for an event.
We may also ask which events you are most interested in to let us know what events you may want further information on in the future.
You will always be asked if you would like to be added to our marketing mailing list before being sent any marketing emails from Miss Ivy Events LTD. This will be via an opt-in tick box either online or written. Another way of opting in to our marketing mailing list is verbally agreeing at an event by exchanging business cards or details.
Visual Personal Data
At events, we may take photographs or video footage of the event to use for Miss Ivy Events LTD advertising purposes. There will be a sign upon arriving at the event letting you know that your image may be used for advertising and marketing purposes and if you are the main focus of a scene the photographer/videographer will also verbally tell you what the footage will be used for. You are encouraged at the event to inform the organisers if you do not want your image used in any marketing or advertising.
You can also ask for the still(s) or footage to be removed post-event if it places you in danger/breaks the law/you feel it is being used in the wrong context. Contact Miss Ivy Events immediately and we will remove it as soon as possible.
Passing your personal information on to third parties
Your personal information will not be sold, shared or rented to third parties, or shared to anyone who is not part of the Miss Ivy Events LTD team without your permission first, except in cases where in good faith we believe that the law requires us to do so, it is necessary to protect Miss Ivy Events LTD rights and/or property, or if circumstances necessitate acting to protect the personal safety of staff or of the public.
We do however share your personal details with our Data Processors either where we have a written agreement with them stating that your information will not be sold and is as secure as possible, or where we already have policies in place to protect your details if shared on them. You can contact us for our full list of Data Processors. Some of these data processors can also collect extra data such as your IP address or payment details when purchasing tickets for events. We do not need or use this information.
If we really like an image, review or comment you have made, we may want to repost, share or upload it to our website. We will always contact you for permission first. If we successfully use your image we are not responsible for where it is shared to or used by other users of that social media platform.
Many choose to contact us through Facebook messenger about bookings and further event information. It is through these conversations where personal data may be collected to complete your enquiry. The information you give us on Facebook remains on there unless you delete the conversation or we feel it is not appropriate. We will never contact an individual out of the blue through social media unless legitimate interest has been shown.

Accessing and amending your personal information
