Hi, my name is Megan.

I was born with serious life-threatening food allergies so I understand the difficulty in sourcing quality products that you can trust. When I was a child, allergy-safe products from the supermarket were few and far between so my mum would get her apron on and create egg and dairy-free goodies so that I would never miss out. It’s this years-long endeavour that has fuelled my passion for baking.

In 2016 I made the decision to become Vegan to be good to the planet, animals, and my health. This was at a time when veganism was on the rise, but still quite a rarity in my hometown in Devon. Determined that this decision didn’t mean I had to give up my sweet tooth, I was on the pursuit to find the perfect vegan bakery which I could trust to be safe and allergy responsible.

After years of baking, and witnessing the rise of veganism across the world I knew that my bakes would contribute to helping other plant-based people make ethical decisions whilst not missing out. So, in October 2022 Plant Bakes was born.

I bake custom celebration cakes to order, as well as brownies, millionaire shortbreads, and tray bakes. And of course, my signature cupcakes!

I supply to local cafes and restaurants as well as catering to individual orders.
