“We have worked with Miss Ivy Events on a couple of occasions at the National Trust property here at Cotehele. The Director is a pleasure to work with. She is efficient, extremely organised, polite and able to think on her feet. The team that she brings with her to run the events are a credit to her. The events that have been held at Cotehele have been a success. The advertising is well thought out and successful. Both events have been busy with visitor numbers exceeding our expectations. We are now working on a new idea with the company and look forward to seeing brilliant results, great visitor figures and a healthy income. We would not hesitate to recommend Miss Ivy Events.”

Charmian Saunders, Visitor Services & Volunteer Manager Cotehele, National Trust

“Hotel Endsleigh are delighted to recommend Miss Ivy Events to prospective venues. The Endsleigh Summer Fete was a great success and brought new guests into the hotel raising our profile locally. We look forward to working with the team again on a Christmas themed event later in the year.”

Jonathon Lawley, Marketing Manager

"Miss Ivy Events have been running their Moor Things ‘Vintage and Lovely’ Spring Garden Fete at the Moorland Garden Hotel for 4 years. Jo has a loyal following and has established a reputation for successful events within the area. Jo has a level-headed, professional yet friendly approach to the organisation of her events and when working with ourselves has always been calm, a characteristic much valued in an organiser."

Laura Braithwaite, Events Manager

Great team to work with. We hired them to help run an event for us. Very attentive to our needs and kept us updated every step of the way. Professional approach and made everything clear and easy to understand. Would certainly use this fantastic group again!

Richard Rundell, Tavistock Heritage Trust

We approached Miss Ivy Events to help with our annual forum, which for the first time needed to be run online. It was a steep learning curve, but with the support of Sarah the event was a real success, with a high number of attendees. Sarah’s expertise, facilitation and understanding of our needs as a team and our audiences really made a difference and has changed how we will be approaching such events in the future. We would definitely work with Miss Ivy Events again and they come highly recommended.

James Luxton, Tamara Landscape Partnership Scheme Manager

When the Town Council resolved to change the format of the town’s Christmas Festival and introduce a large festive outdoor market with entertainment, we decided to engage the help of Jo and the team from Miss Ivy Events to help us bring the new scheme together.

It was very reassuring having Jo coordinate this for us; she listened to what we wanted, carefully tailoring the event to our requirements.  Her professionalism and expertise, and unflappable character delivered in a friendly and efficient manner ensured the event was a major success, and we would not hesitate to use Miss Ivy Events in the future.

Julie Gilbert, Assistant Town Clerk
Ivybridge Town Council

Just to say my family and I thoroughly enjoyed the entertainments on and around Bedford Square over the Bank Holiday.

Well done for all the arrangements and a big ‘thank you’ for making the celebrations such a joyful occasion.

Jo Macaskie

Director

Hi, my name is Jo and I founded Miss Ivy Events in 2011 having spent some 25 years in retail. I came to the events industry quite by accident after creating and hosting a particularly successful event locally. I had intended it to be a bit of a one off, however it proved to be such fun that I was motivated to do more.

I'd also always been tremendously passionate about local produce and talent and was inspired by just how hard the traders work. With a good deal of retail experience at a senior level to draw from, I wanted to provide them with a platform where they could trade regularly and successfully. Thus, Miss Ivy Events was born and we haven't looked back!
