Mackerel Works is a wood working studio based in Brixham, Devon, UK, established by skilled wood artist and owner Nick Booth.

Living in England’s busiest fishing port gives Nick the inspiration for his chopping and serving boards used in his unique, limited edition designs.

I hand make chopping / serving boards of premium quality incorporating woods from both, around the world and locally sourced where possible.

My bespoke designs  sometimes are embellished with the use of pigment infused resin to both enhance and compliment the type of wood used This is my fulltime occupation and I pride myself on customer service and quality of work.

At present my stock includes the following wood type,  Plum , Olive , Walnut , Sycamore , Cherry , Maple , Accacia , Elm , Namibian Rosewood and Wild Mango.

All of my boards are finished with a special food safe hard wax oil which protects them for day to day use and I also make and sell board conditioner and oil to further protect.
