The Twisted Felter is a small independent business run from the Tamar Valley on the borders of Devon & Cornwall. A textile artist, fibre producer, dyer, hand spinner and newbie owner of rare breed sheep, I am passionate about all things woolly. I champion rare breed and British wool and have my own small flock of mixed rare breeds from which I process the fleeces myself.

I create characterful wool sculptures, hand spin yarns and art yarns and using curly fleeces from my own Teeswaters and local Dartmoor Whiteface sheep, I hand dye small bunches of locks for crafters, felters, knitters, spinners etc to incorporate into their own work.

I use blends of different fleeces to create rolags or batts to be used by spinners and felters in a range of beautiful colours and curate kits for those wanting to learn to spin.

I use a combination of natural and commercial dyes but really love the slow time dyeing with natural dyes, my favourite being with wild blackberries.
