Welcome to my Page.

I am a textile artist based in Plymouth, creating works which reference locality and heritage, culture and wildlife.  My work is generally related to the natural world, and I love to indicate something of the subject’s context and character in the piece.

My artworks are created by sewing directly onto old unwanted admiralty charts, and these provide me with an immediate linkage to the environment of the subject. The charts bring their own history to the piece, and I love how their scars and blemishes add an extra layer of interest to the work. The fabrics used in my pieces are rescued scraps and remnants.

I sell my original artworks and limited edition giclee prints, plus a range of gift and home items such as my popular cushions, teatowels coasters and placemats printed with my designs.

I am always open to commissions, and have a lovely stack of local charts, including some fantastic vintage ones, just waiting for your ideas!
