Hi my name is Dawn I am the D in Nana D’s Knots, macrame is my craft I started about 18 months ago during a mental health issue I had at the time. I found it so therapeutic and still do, being able to make something beautiful from knots is amazing. Everything I make is made with the love I have for the craft.

The name Nana D’s Knots came from being told that I was going to become a Nana for the first time, you guessed it my granddaughter was the first recipient of my makes and the 2^nd okay maybe just a few. There was only so much one little girl could have in her nursery. So the makes extended to other family members, I was still getting quite a collection so decided to set up Nana D’s Knots.

My Mum who was having her first great grand daughter was knitting to her hearts content, yet again there are only so many knitted items one child can wear. So, we joined forces and became our own little family team all inspired by our granddaughter.

We just love doing the craft fairs meeting some very talented crafters and new friends made along the way also of course our customers. We have met so many lovely people that purchase our ready-made items or order their very own bespoke items which we make to their specifications.

We look forward to the future of our little venture and hope it will grow.
