Verity didn’t start her journey as a pet portrait artist until later in life, but once she picked up the brush, she knew she had found her true calling. Drawing inspiration from the animals that filled her childhood and the love she shared with her own pets, Verity embarked on a path of artistic discovery that would lead her to launch Painting Tails as a fully-fledged pet portrait business.

Using the versatile medium of watercolour, Verity meticulously brings her subjects to life on canvas, paying close attention to every detail, from the texture of their fur to the sparkle in their eyes. Each painting is a labour of love, as she strives to create a piece of art that not only resembles the pet but also captures their spirit.

Over the years, Painting Tails has gathered a momentum and following of its own accord with paintings adorning the walls of homes as far afield as Australia and serving as cherished reminders of the love and companionship that pets bring into our lives.

When she’s not in her studio, Verity can often be found exploring nature with her own furry companion. Her love for animals permeates every aspect of her life, inspiring her to make a positive difference through her art.  Beyond her commissioned work, Verity is also a passionate advocate for animal welfare, using her art to support various shelters and rescue organisations.

Verity’s journey as a pet portrait artist may have started later in life, but her passion and dedication have made her a master of her craft. Through her beautiful creations, she celebrates the bond between humans and their animal companions, spreading joy and capturing memories that last a lifetime.
