This August Bank Holiday, Miss Ivy Events and Tavistock town are gearing up to party in style with THREE fantastic events over three days
The fun starts on Friday 26th August
Meet artisan crafters, makers and producers at the ever-popular Love Local Friday Market in Tavistock's historic Butchers Hall.
This market is dedicated to the best handmade gifts and treasures with a strong focus on quality products that are made or produced locally.
Tavistock and the surrounding areas have a long tradition of producing unique goods for sale in various markets across the centuries. Today, visitors and locals alike can browse stalls run by dedicated and skilled traders offering the most beautiful and high-quality gifts that you'd never find on your average urban high street.
Entry to the Love Local Friday Market is FREE, doors open from 10:00 until 16:00, and well-behaved dogs are welcome.
What's more, with huge thanks to Tavistock BID who are sponsoring the music, firm favourite Steve Roffey will be on Bedford Square to entertain you with his wonderful repertoire of 50s Rock 'n' Roll favourites.
Then on Saturday 27th August
Bedford Square at the heart of the town will sizzle with the mouth-watering aromas of a delicious Street Food Festival
Starting at 17:00 you'll discover a feast of street foods and drinks, many by local producers from here in the Westcountry. Grab a delicious Mojito or a pint of craft ale to wash down your choice from a selection of Greek, Thai, Mediterranean, fish, posh hotdogs, vegan and more. There's even cake for dessert. A glorious Great British Summer Fete. Tavistock's Meadows is a centrally-located park that is an oasis of green intersected by level footpaths making it accessible for all.
Dotted with wonderful mature trees to provide shelter and shade and lying between Tavistock's historic canal and babbling River Tavy, it's the perfect spot for a Great British Summer Fete.

Steve Roffey is a hugely talented 50's Rock 'n' Roll singer and sublime guitarist with a long tradition of entertaining crowds across Devon and Cornwall.
Always a crowd pleaser, he'll be on hand to get feet tapping and hips swaying to some ever-popular golden tunes of yesteryear.
Meanwhile, Andy 'the Crooner' Marshall will wind the clock back still further with a repertoire of some of the smoothest, coolest post-war music ever. Think swing, jazz, Latin and country. Think Sinatra, Glenn Miller or Benny Goodman. Think good vibes in the sunshine that wash away your woes and replace them with oodles of warm fuzzies!

Meet the hilarious, madcap juggling jester, and marvel at his incredible circus skills.
If you've ever fancied learning how to walk on stilts, juggle, or even ride a unicycle then come along to Elfic's Circus Workshop.
We've also included bouncy castles, Punch & Judy, traditional games and lots more for the little ones besides.
Then, find a grassy spot to picnic, grab some lunch from an array of street food choices and soak up the atmosphere with a Pimms.

We've not forgotten our four-legged family favourites either because we've partnered with Gables Dogs & Cats Home who will be running a Dog Show just for fun.
All proceeds will go to helping the charity to continue to do their great work for the benefit of our furry friends. Please be aware that if weather conditions are unfavourable on the day, and risk the welfare of doggy participants, the Dog Show will be cancelled. This may occur at short notice.
